Help Ukrainian Teenagers and Youth
Teenagers and youth often remain “invisible” in the support system. Especially those who grew up without a family, experienced the loss of their home, were forced to evacuate, or faced life crises.
At the Ridni Foundation, we create a space where we help young people to unlock their potential, acquire essential skills, and take charge of shaping their own future.
How We Help Ukrainian Teenagers and Youth
Educational and scholarship programs
We help Ukrainian teenagers and youth by providing educational opportunities through various courses and career guidance programs.
Psychological support
We offer individual and group sessions with psychologists for teenagers who have experienced loss, crisis, or institutional care.
Preparation for independent living
We teach practical things: from financial literacy and job search to building healthy relationships and self-care.
Leadership programs and skills development
We support young people in their own initiatives, volunteer projects, participation in training programs, and engagement development. We form a community of active and successful young people and lay a solid foundation for their moral values and civic engagement.
Mentoring and life skills: Preparation for independent living
Young people receive support from mentors, trusted adults who offer guidance, give advice, share their experience, and help Ukrainian teenagers and youth to prepare for independent adult life.
Details on Our Areas of Work
"Spilnota-Ridni" Community
The municipal small group home “Spilnota-Ridni” Community of the Lviv City Council was established in partnership with the Fund “Ridni” Foundation. “Spilnota-Ridni” provides an environment for growth, development, and support for adolescents and youth from vulnerable groups.
Scholarship programs
We help Ukrainian teenagers and youth with various forms of education, from short-term courses and training to assistance in vocational or higher education. Our goal is to support those in difficult life circumstances who want to learn, change their lives, and build a better future for themselves and their communities.
Leadership projects
Assistance to teenagers and young people who want to develop an active life position. It helps to unlock potential, build leadership, teamwork, and responsible citizenship skills.
Career guidance and educational programs
Helping adolescents and young people identify their professional path through education, training, and practical skills. The main goal is to give young people self-confidence and a practical understanding of how to realize themselves in the world of adult life.
Psychological support
Providing support to adolescents and young people facing challenging life circumstances. The goal is to stabilize the psycho-emotional state, develop self-regulation skills, and form healthy self-esteem.
Mentorship
Provides adolescents and young people with experience of institutional care with the support of an adult who becomes a reliable source of guidance. The mentor helps them adapt to independent living and build confidence in their strength.
