A large-scale summer school for foster families and family-type children’s homes (FTCH) is currently taking place in Truskavets. This year, five families joined the intensive five-day program.
Throughout the camp, parents and children will participate in various educational sessions, trainings, interactive workshops, and joint team activities. The school’s program is designed taking into account the needs of each participant. For adults, sessions have been prepared covering pressing issues of child development and upbringing, building trusting relationships within the family, overcoming crisis situations, and effective practices for preventing emotional burnout in future parents and caregivers.
At the same time, a rich leisure program was organized for the children: educational games, psychological trainings, creative workshops, sports competitions, and an exciting mountain hike.
This format of the summer school helps families not only gain useful practical knowledge from specialists but also provides a unique opportunity to exchange experiences with other families who share a similar life path, spend quality time with loved ones, and restore their inner strength. We wish all participants productive learning, warm communication, inspiration, and bright positive emotions.
The summer school was organized by the Lviv Regional Center for Social Services in partnership with Ridni Foundation, with the support of UNICEF.
