Ridni Foundation’s September–October 2026 Highlights

September and October became a period of scaling assistance, implementing modern approaches across the social sector, and achieving meaningful milestones together for Ridni Foundation. Over these two months, our team actively expanded the reach of our support, strengthened the competencies of local specialists, and provided children with vital resources for harmonious development.

Key events and highlights of our work across September and October:

  • Expanding Operations to the Southeastern Regions: Ridni Foundation is now operating in Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Mykolaiv regions, opening a new regional hub and establishing safe spaces to support families within frontline communities.

  • New Support Initiatives in Kryvyi Rih: In Kryvyi Rih, a new comprehensive project was officially launched to support teenagers, parents, and educators.

  • Psychosocial and Educational Care for Children: With support from GlobalGiving, Polina, a schoolgirl from Zaporizhzhia, received tailored educational and psychological assistance to make up for learning gaps and regain confidence in her studies. Meanwhile, on September 4, the first regular psychosocial support group sessions kicked off in Kyiv for children at the Center for Socio-Psychological Rehabilitation of Children No. 1 as part of our joint project with WeWorld, supported by the Taiwan Fund for Children and Families (TFCF).

  • Advancing Mentorship Programs: Together with the Ternopil Regional Center of Social Services, we conducted a series of important informational meetings on mentorship across the communities of Berezhany, Chortkiv, and Lanivtsi, engaging over 60 local specialists and community leaders.

  • Specialist Training and Systemic Reforms: Lviv hosted a two-day hands-on training session for professionals working daily with families facing difficult life circumstances. Additionally, Ridni Foundation served as a co-developer of the specialized course “Child Rights Protection System in Ukraine”.

  • Partnership and Business Collaborations: Through the charitable initiative «Kukhari 2.0» (Cooks 2.0) across the FoodieSpace network, we raised 57,050 UAH to organize a specialized camp for teenagers. Furthermore, we gathered our valued partners for a special gathering, “The Art of Being Near,” to slow down, share values, and strengthen cooperation beyond everyday meetings.

  • Warm Moments for Children: A cozy culinary master class was held at Pampushechna for the children of the Center for Social Support of Children and Families.

  • Recognition and Professional Expertise: Ridni Foundation was recognized in the “Charity in the Social Sector” category at the “Charitable Lviv Region – 2025” awards. In addition, Alyona Onyshchenko, Director of the Communications and Partnerships Department at Ridni Foundation, joined the expert evaluation jury for the Better Care Awards.

  • 14 Years of Systemic Care: In October, Ridni Foundation celebrated its 14th anniversary! Over these years of dedicated service, our comprehensive programs have reached more than 72,000 children, teenagers, and youth.

We extend our deepest gratitude to every partner, donor, and friend who stands by our side. Thanks to your continuous trust and support, we remain committed to creating systemic solutions so that every child can grow up in safety, care, and the warmth of a loving family environment. 💜
