Five days of learning and joint activities – that is how the summer school for foster families and family-type children’s homes went in the Lviv region. This year, 7 families joined the initiative.
During the sessions, parents talked about child upbringing and development, learned how to build trusting relationships, navigate difficult situations, and manage their own emotional well-being. Meanwhile, children enjoyed a specially designed program featuring creative workshops, games, training sessions, and various sports activities.
These shared experiences are vital because they allow families to recharge, find mutual support, and return home inspired with new ideas and valuable knowledge.
We are deeply grateful to all participants for their openness, energy, and these five wonderful days together. We wish that the new insights and warm memories stay with the families for a long time.
The summer school was organized by the Lviv Regional Center for Social Services jointly with Ridni Foundation, supported by UNICEF.
