The educational platform Prometheus, together with the State Children’s Service of Ukraine, has launched a new free online course – “Child Rights Protection System in Ukraine.” The Ridni Foundation team joined the development of the curriculum, integrating the foundation’s practical experience into systemic learning materials.
The main goal of the course is to provide professionals with practical tools for their daily child protection work, deepen their knowledge of national and international legislation, and teach them to make decisions guided strictly by the best interests of the child.
Within the curriculum, participants will master:
- practical application of national legislation and international standards;
- analysis of individual life situations of children, informed by an understanding of their development and psychological needs;
- approaches to ensuring the child’s meaningful participation in decisions that directly affect their lives;
- overcoming formalism in social work and viewing the child within a broader legal and social context;
- effective algorithms for interagency cooperation and cross-sectoral collaboration within communities.
The training will be valuable for specialists of children’s services, social service centers, guardianship and custody authorities, representatives of local self-government, executive bodies, and the civil society sector. The course authors and speakers include a multidisciplinary team of leading Ukrainian practitioners and experts.
For the Ridni Foundation team, participating in the development of this course is an opportunity to share everyday hands-on experience and jointly build a robust, professional child protection system in Ukraine.
We invite you to register and start learning! 💛
