An open discussion dedicated to mentorship for children and teenagers from vulnerable categories will take place at the Old Lion Coffeehouse-Bookstore in Lviv. Organizers and participants will explore the connection between fictional stories of guidance and the real life of children growing up without stable adult support, having experienced loss, forced displacement, or difficult life circumstances.
During the event, Ridni Foundation team and the attendees will discuss several crucial topics:
- who mentors are and what role they play in shaping a child’s personality;
- who needs mentorship the most today and why this issue is critically relevant for Ukraine;
- how to become a mentor and why this journey can transform the lives of both the child and the adult.
A special highlight of the event will be the opportunity to meet active mentors. Guests will hear sincere, real-life stories about the mentorship journey – filled with its unique challenges, small victories, complex moments, and shared joyful memories.
This meeting is about people who consciously choose to be there and become a reliable point of support for someone in need. Ultimately, the presence of just one significant adult can completely change a child’s life story.
The event will take place on May 28 at 18:30 at the following address: Lviv, Old Lion Coffeehouse-Bookstore, 17 Halytska Street.
Admission to the event is free upon prior registration
