Why charitable foundations must report publicly: a column by the CEO of Ridni Foundation

Trust is the foundation of the charitable sector’s activities, especially in times of great challenges. Rubryka media has published an op-ed by Mariana Romaniak, CEO of Ridni Foundation, dedicated to the topic of public reporting and transparency in the work of non-governmental organizations.

In the article, the Foundation’s CEO shares insights on:

  • how regular reporting helps build sustainable partnerships with international donors;

  • why openness to society directly impacts the scale of assistance;

  • the transparency standards the Foundation implements in its daily activities.

A key milestone of this commitment to openness was Ridni Foundation 2025 Annual Activity Report. This document provides a detailed overview of project outcomes, financial indicators, and the impact of Foundation’s work on children’s lives in Ukraine.

For a mature organization, a report is both a management tool and a reputational asset. It is a way to demonstrate not only the amount of resources mobilized but also the value they have created, – notes Mariana Romaniak.
