Every day, social workers make decisions that can have a lasting impact on a child’s life. Recognizing the warning signs of abuse or neglect and responding quickly can make all the difference in ensuring children receive the protection and support they need. To help strengthen these essential skills, Ridni Foundation recently hosted a training in Lviv for social work professionals. Led by trainer Ruslan Horchynskyi, the session focused on recent legislative updates, the principle of acting in the best interests of the child, and effective cooperation between the agencies and professionals responsible for responding to cases of child abuse and domestic violence.
A key part of the training was hands-on learning. Participants worked through real-life case studies and practiced clear response procedures, strengthening coordination between the professionals and institutions that support children and families in their communities every day.By investing in practical knowledge and stronger collaboration, Ridni Foundation is helping build a more effective child protection system, one where professionals can identify risks earlier, respond with confidence, and ensure vulnerable children and families receive timely support when they need it most.
