A gift certificate provides flexibility for a family to buy exactly what a child needs and wants: a backpack, school supplies, headphones for online classes, or a book about a new interest.

A one-time donation helps meet a specific need, while regular support allows us to stay by the children’s side throughout the entire school year.

Family-type children’s homes are families that prove every day – love and care can transform a child’s life. Preparing for a new school year when there are many kids in the family involves numerous individual needs that cannot fit in a single, universal list. That’s why we are here. We believe that the best kind of support is the one that considers the needs of every child.

In 2025, the Ridni Charitable Foundation provided 26 children from family-type children’s homes and foster families with electronic devices and furniture. Together with Vchasno, a digital solutions service for businesses, we also helped 182 children from the Lviv and Mykolaiv regions receive personalized gifts selected according to their individual needs, interests, and dreams.

A Gift Certificate is a Freedom of Choice

With a gift certificate, which can be redeemed in local stores, a family can purchase exactly what a particular child needs for studying this year. For example, headphones can help a child attend online classes at home when schools are forced to close during the winter because of shelling or a lack of heating. They can also use them to listen to music, talk to friends, or simply enjoy a little personal space.

We cannot anticipate every need, so we do not make these decisions on behalf of families. Instead, we give them the opportunity to choose what a child truly needs while considering the child’s own wishes and interests.
