The final event of the Nationwide Art Festival “Create & Shine” became a warm and symbolic conclusion to a year filled with creativity, support, and collaboration. It was more than just an event; it was a sanctuary where children could pause, listen to themselves, and allow their inner worlds to manifest through art.
The Nationwide Art Festival “Create & Shine” is a psychosocial project for vulnerable children and teenagers aged 12 to 17. Every year, the festival provides a space where artistic practices help participants discover themselves, process emotions, and build connections with both themselves and others.
Throughout the day, the children participated in a series of creative workshops and exercises, including:
- Collaborative creation from scratch — from the very first dot to their own unique stories.
- Exploring and processing emotions through creative writing and visual imagery.
- Creating characters and fictional worlds and bringing them to life in comics.
Sharing stories and dreams in handcrafted zine books, each of which will become part of the upcoming online exhibition, “The Library of Children’s Worlds.”
We sincerely thank everyone who helped make this celebration of creativity possible. The event was held with the hospitable support of Urban Camp Lviv, which provided the venue.
We express our deep gratitude to the partners whose financial and resource contributions made the festival a reality: ORNER, Shchos Tsikave, Zamok Leva, Sisters Stelmakh, Narcissist, Factory Family, Amber Flower House, and BABA PEREDALA.
