Ridni Foundation conducts a series of meetings on family-based care

Ridni Foundation continues its series of information sessions dedicated to adoption, mentorship, and alternative forms of family-based care. This time, the events were held for the student community, educators, and parents.

The Foundation team met with students and faculty members of the Department of Sociology and Social Work at Lviv Polytechnic National University and held a separate session with the parent community of the “School of the Free and Caring.”

During the events, participants discussed the fundamental stages of welcoming a child into a family and how to begin this journey. Special attention was given to the mentorship program — an opportunity to become a reliable adult support system and a friend to a child.

A highlight of the meetings was the personal stories shared by our guest speakers:

  • Anna Safonova — an adoptive mother who shared her personal journey to parenthood.

  • Alina Shapoval — a practicing mentor who shared her experience in building a trusting relationship with a child.

We thank all participants for their openness, sincere questions, and genuine interest in child rights protection. We are convinced that spreading accurate information is the first step toward ensuring every child finds a loving family.

If you would like to organize such a meeting for your team or community, please send us a direct message on social media.

The project is implemented by Ridni Foundation in partnership with UNICEF.
