On February 4, representatives of the Ridni Foundation held a working meeting with the Mayor of Mykolaiv, Oleksandr Syenkevych. The primary focus of the discussion was the development of social support within the community and the unification of efforts to protect children’s rights.
The dialogue also included the Deputy Mayor and heads of specialized departments: the head of the Children’s Services Department and the Deputy Director of the City Center for Social Services.
During the meeting, the parties conducted a detailed review of future areas of work, specifically:
- Potential formats for cooperation and expertise provided by the Foundation;
- Community requests and the urgent needs of Mykolaiv families with children;
- Further joint steps for the implementation of social initiatives.
A key outcome of the meeting was the signing of a memorandum of cooperation. This document officially solidifies the partnership between the Foundation and the city authorities, paving the way for systemic changes.
I am grateful to the Ridni Foundation team for their partnership and readiness to work together. It is vital for us that every child in the city has support, opportunities for development, and a sense of security,” stated Mayor Oleksandr Syenkevych.
Partnership with Mykolaiv marks another step in the Foundation’s strategy to expand its support network for Ukrainian families and create a safe environment for children to grow.
