On May 28, the first meeting of the National Council for Guaranteeing Children’s Rights was held, establishing it as the central coordinating mechanism of state policy in the field of children’s rights.
The National Council brought together representatives of state authorities, local self-government, civil society, international partners, and the expert community to work jointly on systemic solutions in the field of child protection.
The meeting focused on inter-agency cooperation, early detection of vulnerability, preventive support for families, and ensuring equal access for children to basic services.
“To create truly effective solutions for children and families, it is essential for the state, communities, and the public sector to work together. It is valuable for us to be a part of this dialogue and contribute to changes in the field of child protection,” noted Marta Hrytsyk, Director of the Department for Cooperation with State Structures at Ridni Foundation.
The first meeting of the National Council became an important step toward systemic changes in the field of children’s rights. We continue to be part of this process and work together with partners to implement solutions into real practices for supporting children and families.
